Lavumisa Woven Placemats
Made in Eswatini by rural women artisans using the traditional coiled technique, these placemats carry the work of hands that have been weaving lutindzi and sisal grass for generations. Each mat is shaped by coiling, a method that builds form slowly from the centre out, producing the tight, even structure that makes these pieces both durable and distinctly handmade.
As each mat is handmade, colours may vary slightly from what is shown and minor irregularities in weave and form are part of the character of the piece, not a flaw.
Available in 21cm and 28cm.
